Meet Grant Harris - he's the stylist and menswear consultant at Image Granted, a Washingtonian Style Setter of 2011, and an all around stand-up Virginia Military Institute alum.  With Grant, it's all about effortless style through subtle details.  That's why he opted for the wrinkle-resistance Textured Navy Mohair, narrow lapel, 5-button cuff, soft shoulder construction w. AMF, fuschia melton, etc.  Like his suit?  It's a founder's favorite as well.

It's a brown Italian VBC suit available until April.

GURU: Jacket Mistakes

E-tailors sound like a great idea right? You're able to get that custom-made fit for a cheap price while looking like a million bucks. Well, unfortunately with most e-tailors, not quite a million just yet...

Here are 3 blatant errors that we see over and over again.

1. We all want a nice silhuoette - but sometimes there is something called "too tight". Do you notice the extreme pulling? That is because the jacket is made with a fused canvas making it stiff and lifeless.  All Propers are now full-canvas, minimum.

2. Un-natural shoulders - Our suit fittings start at the shoulders to insure that they are comfortable and the correct width. We offer 3 different imported German shoulder constructions for a natural, classic, and formal look.  As for these shoulders, I'm sure this guy would like them (skip to 0.18).

3. Lengthy lapels - Any experienced pattern maker or tailor will tell you that the most important element with the jacket is a lapel that hugs the shirt collar. The scary thing about this jacket is that the model hasn't extended or raised his arms and the lapels still jutt out.  We would venture a guess that the lapel is 4 cms too long making it appear like a lady gaga outfit.
